هيدروكسي بروبيل ميثيل السليلوز (HPMC) هو إيثر السليلوز غير الأيوني المصنوع من السليلوز البوليمر الطبيعي عن طريق الأثير. وهو مسحوق أبيض عديم الرائحة والمذاق وغير سام ينتفخ في محلول غرواني صافٍ أو عكر قليلاً في الماء. إنه يتميز بخصائص السماكة والتشتت والاستحلاب وتشكيل الفيلم وامتصاص النشاط السطحي والاحتفاظ بالمياه وحماية الغروانية وما إلى ذلك.

1.Hot-dissolving Type :

عند استخدامها في منتجات المسحوق الجاف مثل مسحوق المعجون وملاط الأسمنت، سيكون هناك ظاهرة التكتل في السوائل والطلاءات. لا ينصح باستخدامه في السوائل والدهانات

2.Instant-dissolving Type :

يتم تفريقه بسرعة في الماء البارد، وتبدأ اللزوجة في الارتفاع بعد دقائق معدودة، وتصبح اللزوجة أكبر تدريجياً ويتم تطبيقه على السائل
